Before we get started, our tour reflects the local cuisine, and the limitations of street food vendors and local eateries mean we cannot cater for every dietary restriction. Here's an honest appraisal for the tour, so no-one is disappointed:
✘ Unsuitable for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, or halal diets as the tastings would be very limited.
✔ Gluten and lactose intolerance, mild peanut allergies, no pork diets and no seafood diets are possible though some tastings do not have alternatives available and the menu would be more limited.

This experience focuses on the dishes locals actually eat. Start with favourites like fire-cooked chicken in tomato served with greens and root vegetables, paired with pineapple tea, before heading to roadside grills for classics like the Rolex and charcoal-grilled pork skewers with chilli and salt. Along the way, try grilled matoke and other street staples.
As the evening continues, you’ll sit down to heartier dishes including beef in groundnut sauce and pea stew, finishing with traditional plates like goat luwombo and fried tilapia served with fresh banana juice.
