Great fun

We really enjoyed the tour, it was for 5 hours and learned a lot. If I had to ask one thing, I’d like a little more food, a little less cultural education. That is very much nit picking though, we ate a lot

Incredibly memorable!

We absolutely loved our Culinary Backstreets tour in Los Angeles. It was an incredible value for the amount of food, history, culture, and local insight packed into the experience. We ate amazing food at places we never would have discovered on our own, and we came away feeling like we had learned so much more about the communities, traditions, and people behind what we were eating. Our guide was perfect—knowledgeable, warm, engaging, and clearly very connected to the neighborhood. One of our f...read more

Absolutely Incredible Experience

Such a fantastic value for the money. Our guide, Desiree was so friendly and knowledgeable. She provided a historical and cultural context for the city that changed the way I see Los Angeles. The food we ate was all incredible and I learned so much. I will look for other culinary backstreets tours anytime I travel because of this experience. 5 stars!

Locals and visitors will love this!

Sometimes it’s fun to explore a place that you thought you knew…having grown up in So Cal, we have spent plenty of time exploring LA. This tour takes you through tourist areas, yes- but our guide Jannine introduced us to local business owners, and shared the history, the culture, and the pride of our diverse downtown communities. They say nobody walks in LA, but it can be done! Great variety of stops along the way. Excited to go back and deep dive into some of these spots on our own!

Extraordinary food tour

Our tour was AMAZING! Janine was fun, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and our day couldn't of been better. Her idea of showcasing how different cultures are mixed in the Chinese and Japanese neighborhoods was fascinating. And so much wonderful food to eat and people to meet. I am afraid we disappointed Janine bit because we couldn't eat at the last stop She is a true asset for Culinary Backstreets. Tom G
