Full day shore excursion into the Cloud Forest (with a delicious lunch) from Puntarenas
We booked this shore excursion with Gio Tours through Trip Advisor / Viator to coincide with our cruise ship's day in port, as we particularly wanted to see Monteverde's Cloud Forest and based upon the reviews on this site. Despite a slight change to the itinerary (more on which below), we had a very enjoyable day and Charlie (our guide) and Christian (our bus driver) were both excellent. We had no problems finding our guide (and the mini-bus/coach) at the end of the cruise pier (in Puntarenas)...read more

Swing with the monkeys
Juan is amazing guide. His knowledge and passion for his country and tourism may the experience a must do. The swinging bridges are a great place for one of a kind photos. We saw monkeys birds and even a tarantula

Hanging bridges
Tour guide was very good and friendly.Kept us informed at all times. Cruise change departure time so coffee tour had to be skipped but not the tour guides fault
