Step into the wonderful world of Miyoshi and join this immersive nigiri sushi making class in Shizuoka. Established over 55 years ago, Miyoshi is a traditional Japanese restaurant that is known for its exquisite traditional style. Located in the beautiful prefecture of Shizuoka (home to Mount Fuji), a visit to this fine restaurant makes for a fantastic Japanese cultural experience!
During this nigiri sushi class, you will learn how to make different types of nigiri sushi at the restaurant. This is followed by a commemorative photo shoot in the restaurant with its beautiful cultural wares. Plus, (of course) plenty of eating time for your delicious sushi smorgasbord!
First, you’ll meet your cooking instructor and enjoy a short 10-minute introduction to traditional sushi in Japan. You will learn how to make your very own nigiri sushi using shrimp (known as ebi in Japanese), egg (tamago), salmon, and tuna (maguro). As a bonus, you will next learn how to make gunkanmaki (battleship-shaped sushi) using tuna, corn, cucumber, or salmon. If you have special dietary needs, vegetarian, vegan, and halal meals are available upon request! Finally, you will learn how to make a sushi roll to top off your sushi feast.
For the last part of the class, you can enjoy taking photos in this gorgeous traditional restaurant, using accessories like Japanese umbrellas and modern-style Japanese obi. You will finally finish off your nigiri sushi making class in beautiful Shizuoka by enjoying your sushi feast together. Making and eating nigiri sushi at Miyoshi Japanese restaurant will certainly be a unique experience that you will never forget!
