Experience Details
The highlight of this trip from Prague is the Pilsner Urquell brewery tour. Their lager defined the world's most popular pilsner type of beer. Did you know that over 70% of beer in the world is derived from the lager which was first produced in Pilsen in 1842? The brewery tour includes the modern brewery, the bottling plant, the old brewery with the historic underground and an interactive sensory museum where you can touch and taste the ingredients. The tour also includes the unique experience of tasting the freshly brewed beer - which you can drink only here and in the brewery restaurant! Please note there will be other tourists on the tour.
Then we take a short sightseeing walk + drive around the historic part of Pilsen including the church with the tallest church tower in Czechia, the breath-taking 3rd biggest synagogue in the world and the picturesque historic main square.
Pilsen was once elected the cultural capital of the EU and is also famous for industry and puppet making.
