Amazing private cooking lesson with Chef Alma
We ended with a private Mexican cooking class (on a weekday as we were the only ones signed for the group class) with Chef Alma and honestly, it was one of the best things I did with my son in a while. She's warm and easy to be around from the second you walk in, and she customized the menu for us as we are vegetarians.

Chef Alma was absolute delight to host you both, and hearing that the class was one of the best things you’ve done with your son recently truly warms our hearts. We love adapting our menu to showcase how rich and flavorful traditional Mexican cooking can be for vegetarian diets!
It’s especially wonderful to hear how much your son got into the hands-on process—grilling the ingredients for the salsa and pressing handmade tortillas from scratch are true core skills of authentic Mexican cooking, and he did an amazing job! Pacing the day so everyone can relax, ask questions, and enjoy the meal together is always our priority.

Memorable, Hands-On Cooking Class
We had a marvelous time! We did Cooking Cancun last year with Alberto and Lili with our 3 sons (17-22yr old) and we had such a fun time learning and laughing with Alberto and Lili that we wanted to do it again on our visit to Playa Del Carmen this year! YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS!
The absolute best experience! Alberto and Lily were so fun They are mother and son and so cute together. Their English is great and they were just so welcoming. It was such delicious food. Several of us had either lived in Mexico or lived in Texas in areas where Mexican food is king and we all said the Mole was the best we had ever had. Seriously! You will not regret this experience. Loved every second of it!!

Delicious!
The cooking class was so fun and the food we prepared was delicious! Alberto was a gracious and entertaining host. We made Birria, multiple salsas, guacamole, homemade tortillas and rajas. I’m excited to continue making these dishes and the other recipes that were shared with us at home.

Wonderful flavors and fun!
Chef Alberto and his su chef-mama were fantastic. We learned a lot and the food was incredible. They made you feel like you were visiting with family for a great gathering and food. Now on to cancun chef alberto!
