The dishes on this table were once served in Hollywood's most private kitchens. Now Mariko brings those same techniques to Prague - using whatever the market offers that morning and a group small enough to feel like old friends. Your day begins at Naplavka, one of Prague's most beloved Saturday rituals, where you'll taste and shop alongside Mariko before heading to her light-filled 19th-century studio beneath the Vysehrad fortress. You cook together, eat together, and leave with the recipes and confidence to recreate it all at home. No two mornings are ever identical - the market decides the menu.

Brilliant Foodie Experience

Mariko was amazingly friendly, warm and knowledgeable about the local foods. She gauged our interests and needs for new and interesting foods and catered for it. Mariko knew many of the stall holders and we were able to sample many things along the way which was delicious. Being invited back to her home was really special as was watching the produce being made into superb food for a sit down brunch. I would highly recommend this for any foodie or anyone interested in food.

Great Experience

This was such great experience! Mariko and her husband walked us through the market, sampling and buying products, then hosted us in their wonderful home, where we had a nice conversation with some light refreshments on their balcony. Then we returned into the apartment for a short food preparing session, and finally sat down to eat everything we bought and made. During the entire time, Mariko and her husband shared so many facts and stories, including the story of how they met :-) and the atm...read more

Wonderful experience! Must do

We loved it! Lovely morning at the farmers market along the river. Then we had a delicious brunch with the ingredients we got with Mariko. By the end of the meal, we felt like old friends. It was so much fun!
