What is the Mokambo Experience all about?

We will make gelato together starting from scratch. In particular..

We will open the doors of our laboratory and we will show you what it means to prepare genuine artisan ice cream faithfully following a recipe from 1840.


We'll provide you with aprons, spatulas and spoons and then we'll get to work!


The ingredients you will use will be:


Local pasture milk from the Alta Murgia Park, eggs from free-range hens, simple cooking sugar, plus the "secret" ingredient that we will select for you!


During this experience you will discover how it is possible to create something good and genuine, using a few simple local ingredients and you will understand why (unlike what is believed) it is really difficult to find artisanal ice cream in Italy with a very short list of ingredients.

What You’ll Experience

Probably the oldest ice cream in Italy! We will make ice cream starting from 3 simple ingredients: Milk, Eggs, Sugar. The experience includes the tasting of the 8 flavors produced with an ancient process that does not include "modern ingredients" We will open the doors of our laboratory and we will reveal the magic behind the ingredients and raw materials with which what people call "memorable ice cream" is born The multisensory tasting tour is an experience that involves the use of the 5 senses to understand and get to know the raw materials and aromas that characterize the ingredients of Gelato d'Altri Tempi. - Tasting Experience: After studying the ingredients, we move on to tasting them in order to rediscover the flavors and nuances to complete the experience with taste. After the ingredients, we move on to the "main course" Other things to keep in mind If your palate is a true lover of cooking, excellent wines and out of the ordinary products, this is the experience you cannot miss.
