Join Chef Marie Michele Destil at Gingerbites Haitian Bistro for an intimate, hands-on introduction to Haitian food and culture. Begin with a refreshing Ginger Citronade tasting, then learn the techniques, ingredients, and traditions behind classic Haitian dishes.
During the cooking experience, Chef Marie shares the stories and cultural significance behind the food while guiding guests through preparation techniques. Afterward, sit down to enjoy a Haitian meal with a glass of wine while Haitian music sets the atmosphere.
The experience brings together food, storytelling, culture, and conversation. Each guest leaves with an autographed copy of PRESERV: A Culinary Quest of Haitian Roots & Resilience, Chef Marie’s memoir exploring Haitian culture, food, family heritage, and memory.
