Wonderful experience!
Cooking with Geraldine was fun and informative. I am not an adventurous eater but to my surprise the cocoyam stew with tuna was exceptional. We also enjoyed the lively conversation with her.

Enjoy a private and authentic cooking class in a local home with host Gerladine who grew up cooking and learned many of her family recipes from her grandmother. She has enjoyed cooking since then and hasn’t stopped over these years. This is a perfect experience for anyone looking to connect with local culture over food. Your cooking class will take place in a local home kitchen where Geraldine will teach you how to make 2 traditional Ghanaian dishes from their family recipes. After cooking, you will enjoy your meal together in your host's home.

This is a unique opportunity to visit the home of a local and explore traditional culture and cuisine. Geraldine lives in a well-lit, simple apartment in Agbogba, the suburbs of Accra. She is an expert on making many types of Ghanaian dishes. She cooks most of the local dishes in the traditional way, just like how her grandmother taught her! She also learned to cook international meals by watching cooking shows on cable TV. Ghanaian's enjoy a rather simple, but flavorful cuisine. Her cooking class lasts for about 1 hour. She will take you through each step in the cooking process and you will help her prepare two dishes from scratch. You will learn to make the main dish and appetizer. While you cook together, Geraldine will share the origins of dishes and the culture that surrounds them.

Great class and experience
Had a great experience with Geraldine. Great cooking, eating and conversation! Definitely recommend if you want to experience local food and home in Accra. We are from Seattle, USA and recommend to any travelers in this area to do something not yet in the guidebooks.

Terrific cooking class experience.
Great experience! We loved starting off at the market and shopping for all of the fresh ingredients. It’s a true hands-on class and you definitely will know how to make everything at home. We especially enjoyed visiting with and getting to know Geraldine while sharing the meal we cooked. Highly recommend! We also went home with all the leftovers!

Great cooking class and a lasting memory of Ghana
This was a total hands-on cooling class, starting with an enjoyable time shopping for the fresh ingredients at the local market with Geraldine. We cooked the meal with her, helping to chop and prepare everything. We had a lovely time visiting with Geraldine while sharing the meal. She even sent us home with all of the leftovers! We had a choice in selecting the menu. It was a wonderful day and will always be a great, lasting memory of Ghana. Thanks Geraldine!

Incredible experience!
We had the most wonderful time with Geraldine. She welcomed us into her home and provided yummy juices for us before we started cooking. She taught us how to cook some delicious dishes while we exchanged stories and laughs. I can’t wait to see Geraldine again one day!
