Good to Know
Bonding Culinary Experience – What sets this activity apart
This activity goes beyond a traditional cooking session by focusing on connection and trust through shared responsibility.
Tasks are intentionally interdependent, encouraging communication and mutual support rather than individual performance.
The facilitator creates moments for coordination and reflection without interrupting the natural flow of the experience. Guests leave with a strong sense of shared accomplishment and deeper personal connection.

The experience begins with a welcome and introduction to the session, including how collaboration and shared responsibility guide the cooking process. Guests are introduced to locally sourced ingredients, many of them organic and inspired by Costa Rican and Blue Zone culinary traditions.
Participants then engage in interdependent culinary tasks that require communication and coordination to prepare a complete set of dishes. Techniques and preparations are inspired by traditional methods passed down through generations, adapted into an accessible, hands-on experience.
As the cooking progresses, the facilitator provides clear guidance on both preparation and timing, ensuring the group works together in a fluid and aligned way. Along the way, guests gain insight into the ingredients and cultural context behind the dishes.
Once completed, the group brings all elements together, plates the dishes collectively, and enjoys the meal around a shared table.
The experience concludes with a guided closing moment focused on connection, trust, and the relationships built through the process.
