Good to Know

Your day. Your people. The Clare Valley. When family or good friends get together, the conversations and unexpected moments are often what people remember. The Clare Valley is a rather good place for them to happen. I'll collect your Group of Four from your Clare Valley accommodation for a private day among the cellar doors and back roads of the region. There are no strangers on board, and nobody else's wish list to accommodate. I'm Charles, your local Valley guide. I know these roads, the wineries and many of the people behind them. We can shape the day around wines you enjoy or places you'd like to visit, or you can simply leave it to me. Wine tastings and a generous charcuterie lunch are included. There's no bus and no rush. By the time I return you to your accommodation, I hope Clare feels a little less like somewhere you've visited and a little more like somewhere you've come to know. Finish the wine. Keep the memories. Also visiting the Barossa? I can collect you from there.

Wine tour Clare valley South Australia

Valley wine tour is very good owned and operated by Charles. Charles is well versed of the Clare valley wine region. He’s informative and provides a comprehensive guide with history of wineries in region. Lunch at Paulette’s winery superb. I highly recommend Charles and valley wine tour.

The Clare Valley is a wonderful region to explore at a relaxed pace. The wineries each have their own story, and understanding how the region developed adds another layer to the tasting experience. Paulett Wines is always a popular lunch stop, with views that encourage people to linger a little longer. A classic Clare Valley day.

WHAT A GREAT PRIVATE TOUR WITH OUR DOG

We were recommended by friends to go with Charles but he was already booked out. He went out of his way to arrange another driver available for my wife and I the next day. We have a small dog and he arranged for us to be able take her as well. Aldo picked us up from the caravan park in Clare, and off the three of us went, plus our dog. Dog friendly winery tour

We did the "Let the dogs come too" tour - 2 adults & 3 cavoodles. Charles was very accomodating, knowledgeable & we had a great day. He treated the dogs like his own & we had no hesitation in leaving them in his care at the Sevenhills Winery whilst we did the wine tasting. Had a lovely time at all of the wineries we visted ( Sevenhills, Crabtree. Reillys (Mintaro) & Hill River. Had lunch @ the Magpie & Stump on Mintaro, very puppy friendly. It was such a fun day with you both and the three cavoodles. A dog-friendly Clare Valley wine tour really comes into its own when everyone, including the fur babies, can relax and enjoy the day. I’m glad you felt comfortable leaving them in my care at Sevenhill so you could enjoy the tasting, that flexibility is what the ‘Let the Dogs Come Too’ tours are all about. Mintaro is always a great stop as well, with welcoming cellar doors and a relaxed lunch at the Magpie & Stump. I enjoyed your company and the dogs certainly made the day memorable.

Best wine tour ever!

Excellent wine tour of the Clare with Charles. His local knowledge added to the experience and his popularity was evident by how well he was received at the wineries we visited. We requested a full lunch and visit to a distillery and he delivered on both - great tapas lunch at Mr Micks and fantastic tasting at Sawmill Gin Distillery. Thanks Charles for a great day out.
