Amatitan

Our first stop is a family-owned tequila distillery in Amatitán, operated by the Real family since 1942. On a private distillery tour, you'll discover every stage of tequila production, from blue agave cultivation in the fields to cooking, fermentation, distillation, and aging. Engage all five senses as you see, smell, touch, hear, and taste the tequila-making process firsthand. You'll also compare two production methods: traditional (ancestral) and modern industrial, and taste how each influences the flavor and aroma of the same tequila types The distillery tour is completely private for you and your companions, allowing you to enjoy a personalized experience with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn directly from your guide. We'll finish with a guided tasting featuring at least four different tequila expressions. Unlimited samples are included. Your guide will teach you the proper tasting technique to appreciate the unique characteristics of each tequila.

Unlike tours focused only on drinking and partying, this experience explores the region's rich history, from its indigenous roots and the Spanish colonial era to the rise of tequila production and tourism as the economic backbone of modern Tequila, Jalisco. Day in Tequila with Diego!!

My partner and I took a day tour to the town of Tequila with our guide, Diego, and it was fantastic. He's incredibly knowledgeable and very deliberate about what he shares, so every stop felt meaningful rather than rushed or generic. He's also a lot of fun, with great energy that makes the day exciting, especially if you're as passionate about the culture and history as he is. Perfect Day Trip

I cannot recommend Diego highly enough. Our day tour with him was educational, exciting, and so much fun. We learned so much about the history and culture of the region and he is a true expert on the tequila making process. This tour was one of the highlights of our entire time in Mexico.

Awesome experience on tequila tour

Myself (58), my son (27), my brother-in-law (49) and my nephew (16) were in Mexico for 10 days to see the several World Cup matches and took the tequila tour with Diego as our guide and Ruben as our driver while we were in Guadalajara. Unique and Highly Recommended Experience

This was day-two of our time with Diego. We also did a tour of Guadalajara and Tlaquepaque with him the day before. We started the day with Diego taking us to a small, family owned local restaurant in Tequila that was amazing and then on to the distillery. Full disclosure, we never even knew there was a city called Tequila, but we had a great experience and lesson about the the history and distilling process visiting a family owned distillery and getting a behind the scenes view and explanation ...read more

Amazing experience

Diego was amazing. Actually knew the history of tequila and we really learned a lot. He made our experience very nice i would highly recommend him if you want to have a private tour to tequila!
