Experience Details

On this tour enjoy a cooking class with a local family in Jodhpur. The cuisine of Rajasthan is very unique in the choice of ingredients and the spices that are used. While you interact with your hosts and learn more about the rich history and culture of Rajasthan, pick up some of the cooking techniques that the locals use and toss up a home cooked meal with your hosts.

Good To Know

  • Name and gender as on passport, passport number, and expiry date and country of issuance are required at time of booking. Please carry the passport on the day of the tour.

What You’ll Experience

You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the residence of your host family in Jodhpur. Once there, spend some time getting acquainted with your hosts before you start your cooking class. While this is not a cooking class conducted by professionals, you will find yourself learning a lot about Rajasthani cuisine because of the interactive and friendly nature of the session. This tour also provides a chance to visit a local home and find out about daily life in the city. If you do not wish to participate in the cooking and prefer to only watch and photograph (or just talk and eat!), that is fine as well. If there is something specific that you would like to learn, please let us know in advance and we will check whether it is feasible. The cooking session takes between 60 - 90 minutes, after which you will eat the meal prepared with your hosts. After the meal you will be driven back to your hotel.
