Alex and Ale are a fun, local couple passionate about sharing their Mexican culture and cuisine with guests. Enjoy a private, homemade Mexican cooking class and meal in their simple yet vibrant apartment. Join Alex and Ale in their kitchen to learn to make 3-4 traditional Mexican dishes including a homemade salsa. You might learn dishes such as flatuas, tostadas or enmoladas which are corn tortillas stuffed with chicken in a mole sauce. Mole is a dark chocolate-based sauce with lots of spices that is very popular in Mexico and easy to cook - a great sauce to add to your Mexican cooking repertoire. As Alex and Ale have a small kitchen you can expect to do the cooking preparation in the bar area and use the kitchen for the final cooking. Dine together on the homemade Mexican meal you prepared with this delightful couple. If there is a particular Mexican dish you are eager to try, please let Alex know when making your booking.

Join Alex in their home kitchen for this Mexico City cooking class and learn to cook 3-4 traditional Mexican dishes. You might learn dishes such as flautas, tostadas or enmoladas which are corn tortillas stuffed with chicken in a mole sauce. Personalized home cooking experience in CDMX

This was a very fun way to experience Mexican cuisine as an avid home cook. Meeting and coordination of timing was easy via Whatsapp. The fact that were invited into a family's home kitchen is a special privilege. Alex was friendly, engaging and hospitable. He chose a vegetarian meal in accordance with our dietary preferences. Amazing day with Alex and Ale for foodies!

We had a fantastic experience with Alex and Ale. We visited a local market and bought our fresh produces and we then went back to Alex and Ale’s home to cook great tacos gobernador. Alex and Ale were very generous with their time and gave us great tricks for our cooking. We highly recommend this experience.

A great time while learning about food, history, and culture

Our time with Alex -- from a market trip to cooking and a fun meal together -- was maybe THE highlight of our time in Mexico. A wonderful meal and visit

One of our favorite travel experiences, not just in Mexico City but anywhere in the world. Ale had a conflict, but Alex was a wonderful host, taking us to a market to shop, walking us through a meal prep, and then cooking a delicious three-course lunch. He was warm and gracious, patiently tolerating my clumsy Spanish when I wanted to practice, then conversing in flawless English for the rest of our visit. A memorable experience.
