Escape the heat and bustle of the city for the renowned beauty of the Tuscan countryside in the most famous wine region of Italy – Chianti. Your driver will lead you on this 5-hour tour from Florence, during which you’ll stop for a wine tasting at a family-run farm which produces excellent Chianti Classico as well as a high-quality Super Tuscan wine. You’ll have the unique opportunity to see this breathtaking landscape in the soft light of sunset when the sun cools, the light fades, and the land is covered by the magical mantle of twilight.

We will stop at a second farm to visit the ancient cellars and taste high-quality Chianti and Super Tuscan wines.

Badia a Passignano

Badia a Passignano is an ancient village located in the heart of Chianti Classico, in the municipality of Barberino Tavarnelle, in the province of Florence. Its focal point is the Abbey of San Michele Arcangelo a Passignano, founded in 395 AD. This Benedictine monastery, still active and managed by the Vallombrosian Order, is known for its church with frescoes by Domenico Cresti, known as Il Passignano, and for the crypt that houses the tomb of the founder of the order, St. John Gualberto. The village also features picturesque streets, a historic tower-house, and the Church of San Biagio. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, it is famous for its Chianti Classico Gran Selezione wine, produced at the Antinori winery. The panoramic location of the village offers breathtaking views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape.
