Khor Virap Monastery is one of Armenia’s most important pilgrimage attraction with an amazing views of the sacred Mount Ararat where Noah's Arc landed. This is a full-day tour from Yerevan, travel by private vehicle with flexible time at attraction and for taking photos. After Khor Virap you will have a wine testing at Areni winery and visit Bird's Cave, the proceed to Noravank Monastery. At the end of the tour you will visit Jermuk spa town with its waterfall and thermal water gallery.

Noravank Monastery

Noravank is a 13th-century Armenian monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Amaghu River. The gorge is known for its tall, sheer, brick-red cliffs, directly across from the monastery. The monastery is best known for its two-storey Surb Astvatsatsin (Holy Mother of God) church, which grants access to the second floor by way of a narrow stone-made staircase jutting out from the face of building, one of the earliest examples of cantilever architecture.

Jermuk Waterfall

Jermuk is famous for its hot springs and mineral water brands bottled in the town. It is attractive for its fresh air, waterfall, artificial lakes, walking trails, the surrounding forests and mineral water pools. The town is being redeveloped to become a modern center of tourism and health services. It is also being set up to become a major chess center, with numerous chess international tournaments scheduled in the town. Jermuk waterfall, 72 m high, flows into the river Arpa. The waterfall reminds girly hair. Hence the other name of the waterfall: mermaid's hair.

Unforgettable tour to Jermuk

We had a wonderful day trip to Jermuk! From the moment we started, everything was comfortable and well arranged. Our driver was very kind, friendly, and professional. He drove safely, was always helpful, and made the whole journey pleasant and relaxing. Jermuk itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning mountain scenery, fresh air, and a peaceful atmosphere. Our guide Mr. Arman was amazing — kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole day smooth and enjoyable. The Jermuk Waterfall was the highlight — stunning and peaceful! Highly recommend this tour to see the best of Armenia in one day.
