With 74 vineyards, 31 wineries, 10 cellar doors and 4 winery restaurants, Waipara Valley region is a masterclass in cool climate wine making. Waipara Valley is best known for elegantly spicy and rich Pinot Noirs and Rieslings. The region also offers other aromatic varieties such as Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer, and has its own unique take on Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Indulge yourself in a half day of wine tasting with a quality selection of wines and enjoy a scrumptious gourmet lunch made from fresh local produce at one of the winery.

Wonderful, intimate tour experience!

Our tour was amazing! Anujkt picked us up promptly at our hotel at the designated time and we had a wonderful trip to the Waipara valley for wine tasting at 4 vineyards. The vineyards were beautifully laid out and the wines were very, very good! Grey's Peak wines were over the top excellent! Anujkt, our tour guide, was very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this wine tour if you have a day to learn and experience New Zealand wines.
