You will have an unforgettable tailor-made tour to the largest private winery in Montenegro - Lipovac Winery, which is located on the mountain slopes of the Skadar Lake reserve. It is difficult to imagine, but the traditions of winemaking have been preserved here since the 3rd century B.C. This is evidenced by amphoras and jugs found during archaeological excavations. During the tour, you will learn the history of Montenegrin winemaking, taste the best wines from the autochthonous grape varieties of Montenegro, and enjoy the magnificent landscapes. You will see Georgian ancient clay qvevri, which are located directly in the ground. Since 2011, this method has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List; and Italian terracotta amphoraes. The traditions of amphora wine, perfected by the ancient Greeks and Romans as a time machine, allow you to go back many centuries and taste the drinks of our ancestors.

Winery Lipovac

This tour includes sightseeing and guided tour of Lipovac vineyards with autochthonous grape varieties of Montenegro. There will be a Technological hall with professional high-tech bottling lines, a 100% men-made cellar 60 meters long and 10 meters deep underground with numerous barriques and botties. A Georgian ancient clay qvevri, which is located directly in the ground. An Italian terracotta amphoras. And finally, a wine tasting of 4 wines along with exclusively created tasting snacks. You will also learn the Lipovac Idea, Harmonia, Concept, and Model. Selection of cold cuts: prosciutto, Montenegrin cheese and olives.

Do not miss !!

We took the degustation of 8 wines but we only had 7 because the Rosé was not of the season, it didn’t bothered us because 7 was enough. The wines were very good. I recommend to do the tasting ! Our host, Enver was the best. He gave us the best explanation, and advice. He was very nice and very enthusiastic about this job. Ham and cheese were very good. I 100% recommend. For 8 wines tasting, plan at least 2h30. Don’t miss this place !

Super location for super wines

What a super cool location. The road to it is not very good but also a nice experience. Arrived friendly received by the guide. We could choose 4 (€25) or 8 (€35) wines. If you choose 8, you can try all 8 wines from this winery. You get a nice drinks board with it.Tevens is a tour at the tasting. I tried some really good wines. Each one special. Spectacular views, wonderful wines

This is one visit you will remember forever. It’s remote, but worth every minute of the drive. None of us could believe the spectacular scenery. The 7 wines were tasty and the meat & cheese platter tasty. Tim our host was very knowledgeable and helpful. There is no way to recommend this winery more. It rates a 100 out of 5.

A pearl in the mountains of Montenegro

The surrounding is astonishing. This is a pearl in the mountains of Montenegro. We took a spontaneous tour after our visit at Lake Skadar. Enver met us with great hospitality and provided us with an excellent wine-tasting session with finger-food included. We left with 2 local bottles. Highly recommended.
