Nyon, a city on Lake Geneva, was founded by the Romans during the reign of Julius Caesar between 46 and 44 BC. Nearby, on the Quai de Belgique, there is also a beautiful promenade by the water and the Olympic Museum.

The Route du Vignoble is very appreciated for its beauty, it passes through the small villages among the vineyards of Lavaux, a region listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, while offering visitors a unique panorama of the terraced vineyards, the shores of Lake Geneva and at the bottom the view of the Alps with Mont Blanc (if the weather is favorable).
