The Rumija Jeep Experience tour offers the best way to explore and discover the natural beauty of Bar and Mount Rumija. Passing through untouched nature, and hidden gems, and enjoying perfect views of the city of Bar and the sea, it is an ideal choice for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle and immerse themselves in the charms of nature. During the tour, you will visit Old olive tree, Old town Bar, the waterfalls, you will also pass by various viewpoints, old churches, monasteries, and mosques. What sets our tour unique is the lunch break at our cottage located at an altitude of 1000 meters. Guests will have a unique opportunity to try a specialty of meat and vegetables prepared under a "sac". The meat is cooked on a low heat for 3 hours, giving it an incomparable taste. This type of food and preparation cannot be experienced in restaurants. Additionally, the lunch includes a welcome drink, where guests can taste homemade wine, grappa, pomegranate juice, or beer.

What You’ll Experience

Old Olive Tree

The Rumija Jeep Experience starts from the city of Bar, and the first stop is the ancient olive tree, which is over 2000 years old and is one of the oldest olive trees in Europe. Various legends and traditions are associated with it, which you will have the opportunity to hear from the guide. Then the off-road drive begins, and the ascent up the mountain through untouched natural beauty. During the upward journey, the highest peak is reached, which stands at 1325 meters above sea level, where you will have the opportunity to see Lake Šas, the Bojana River, and the neighboring country of Albania from the viewpoint where the tour stops. The tour continues through a dense forest, visiting a hidden waterfall, a mosque, and a monastery.

After two hours of driving and ascending Rumija Mountain, a lunch break is taken. What makes our tour unique is the lunch break we take on Rumija Mountain at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level. A hospitable approach, traditional food, and drinks, such as specialty meat and vegetable dishes cooked under the "sač" (a traditional cooking bell), domestic olives, cheese, homemade pomegranate juice, as well as homemade brandy and wine, will make your tour unforgettable. Old Fortress, Stari Bar

After lunch, the Rumija Jeep Experience is not over; it continues. We now start descending towards the city in the jeeps, but not by the same route we ascended. Instead, we take a different path, making a circle around Rumija Mountain. During the descent, we stop at the most beautiful viewpoint in our city, offering a panoramic view of the entire city of Bar and its beauties. Towards the end of the tour, we also pass through the Old Town of Bar and have a view of the ancient walls and fortifications of the city that is over 1500 years old.
