Experience Details

The tour begins with a visit to Bacalhôa Palace, a remarkable Renaissance palace known for its elegant gardens and 16th-century tiled panels, reflecting the connection between art, history and wine tradition of the region.

The visit continues at Bacalhôa Vinhos de Portugal, for wine tasting and guided visit to the winery facilities, where the wine production methods are presented.

The following is a visit to Casa Museu José Maria da Fonseca, one of the oldest wine producers in Portugal, with a visit to the museum and wine tasting.

The visit follows to Cabo Espichel, with stops for photos, enjoying the cliffs and the impressive views over the Atlantic Ocean.

The route continues to the castle of Sesimbra, with a guided tour, offering panoramic views of the Villa and the sea.

Stop in the Serra da Arrábida, for contemplation of the natural landscape, ending in Cristo Rei, with a visit and photos, ending the day with privileged views over the river Tejo and Lisbon.

Palacio da Bacalhoa

Visit Quinta da Bacalhôa, which is an old property of the Portuguese Royal House. The farmhouse with the famous Palácio da Bacalhôa, also known as Palácio dos Albuquerques, is located in the parish of Azeitão, the municipality of Setúbal, more precisely in the small village of Villa Fresca de Azeitão. The Palace and Quinta da Bacalhôa have been classified as a National Monument since 1910, with the designation being changed in 1996.
