Sloths up close, a waterfall swim, coffee & chocolate and a delicious local lunch: the day our guests call "the best part of our trip." We are a 100% local, family-owned company from Guanacaste, founded in 2008 by Carlos Méndez. Our guides grew up here, and the farmers and rainforest trackers you'll meet are our neighbors. Your booking supports local families. Pickup from hotels across Guanacaste: Liberia, Coco, Hermosa, Papagayo, Flamingo, Brasilito, Tamarindo and more. Swim at Llanos de Cortés waterfall, taste organic coffee and chocolate made by local families, search for sloths, toucans and frogs with an expert naturalist who helps you get close-up photos, and enjoy a traditional Tico lunch. Easy walks, a relaxed pace, never rushed. Ideal for families with kids of all ages, couples and nature lovers. Good to know: a full day of 6 to 8 hours depending on your hotel. In the rainy season (Sep–Nov), swimming depends on water conditions; if unsafe, we'll let you know in advance.

Please be ready in your hotel lobby or main entrance 5 minutes early. We pick up guests from several hotels along the way. Depending on your location, a local driver may bring you to a nearby meeting point to join the main group van and your guide. If your hotel is not on the list, select the closest location or contact us after booking and we’ll arrange your pickup. Please bring: rain jacket or poncho, swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, comfortable shoes and a change of clothes.

I saw a snake!

We had a wonderful experience with Nana! She took such good care of us. We started the tour with a beautiful drive to the waterfall, we stopped for breakfast (not part of the tour, but part of the caretaking, it's hard to enjoy yourself when you're hangry) and had a nice sit down meal with an explanation of what we could expect during the day. Wonderful Adventure in Costa Rica

Our guide, Adriana, made the private van tour very special. It was worth it to pay extra for our group of 8 to have our own group and tour. She was knowledgeable, provides many interesting facts, excellent communicator, and happy to share information about her culture. The Waterfall was beautiful (a little challenging hike down and up), but take your time. an amazing wildlife and coffee experience!

We absolutely loved this experience! Emmanuel was an amazing tour guide, and communication was great throughout the tour. We got to see several animals and learn about their backgrounds, which made the experience even more special. We learned so much about Costa Rica’s wildlife and really enjoyed getting to appreciate the country’s beautiful nature. Great Experience

The sites leading to the excursion were beautiful. Our guide gave us flexibility to choose when we would stop for lunch on the route. Lunch at the local pizzeria was the best meal we had all trip even though we didn’t order pizza. The waterfall experience was beautiful. If you love coffee and chocolate, would highly recommend this tour. The icing on the cake was seeing the sloths in their natural environment. We had the opportunity to see some other beautiful creatures as well.

Amazing super fun tour

The tour was amazing. Our guide Emmanuel/Manny was great with good description and communication of everything planned and the schedule. While at each location, he made sure everyone understood and enjoyed the experience. Every activity was worth visting. Coffee and chocolate was also very informative and interactive. The included meal was a nice touch. Overall definitely great amazing tour.
