Enjoy the Stonegrill® Dining Experience in the atmospheric outback surroundings of 'The Welcome Home'. Situated at the heritage end of Eagle Street, Longreach, The Welcome Home is like stepping back in time and is always a sociable and relaxed occasion.
Early settlers often cooked their meat on a hot stone in a camp-fire and the Stonegrill® Dining Experience brings this concept inside with extras that would have been a feast for a pioneer!
Cook your meat (or fish) on a hot volcanic stone at the table, then add your choice of side dishes and sauces. Main course is followed by a chance to sample a range of traditional homestead desserts at the delicious, all-you-can-eat dessert and lolly bar.

Inspired by traditional campfire techniques, the Stonegrill® is available Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings in the winter season. With a hot-stone at your table, you can enjoy a choice of meat, fish or vegetarian cooked by you, the way you like it!

Rib Eye Steak, Porterhouse Steak, Salmon, Chicken, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Steak, Lamb, Scallops and Prawns or a Vegetarian Patty.
Every meal is served with chat potatoes and a choice of sides including
salad of the day and steamed vegetables.
Not forgetting our
all-you-can-eat dessert bar including grandma’s homestead favourites,
ice cream and a lolly bar.

Great dinner
Great dinner! Who doesn't love a stonegrill. Steak was very tender, was it cause I cooked it myself, possibly. Bha ha ha ha. Buffet of veggies and salad was nice too. And desserts.. You gotta try the Benoffee pie! Also a lolly bar, stayed clear of that... Far too full! The two waiters who looked after the tables, were very attentive.

Unique dinner experience
Would highly recommend this dinner. A truly fun way to cook your own dinner on a 400 degree stone. The side veges, coleslaw and sauce to go with your meat were fabulous. Expect to walk out very full Stafff were so lovely. Do your self a favour when in Longreach and try this dinner out. 😋

Enjoyable evening
Excellent food, served on hot grill plates. A wide range of salads and vegetables to help yourself to. Nice desert options too, including some gluten free ones and sweets and lollies. Friendly staff in an interesting atmospheric venue.
