I started Suhaila with my love for human being simply. And for me, food and cooking is one of the best way to share a culture and history.
My name is Mohammed and I love to meet new people. I also like to share my story, and my culture. My mom as always been a very good cook and I want to share her recipes with people travelling to Jordan.
I adjusted them all to make sure you can do them at home. I also furnish all the recipes.
I can welcome up to 6 guests at the same time.
The experience is divided in 3 steps for cooking, and there is also explanation on culture and food tour after the class , plus time of course to speak and share together. We eat all the food we cook together.
Dinner
we will transmit an authentic experience through our stories and food .guest will Join us in my family House (My wife and daughter and 9 months son) to cook a typical Jordanian meal ,vegan and vegetarian per request .
You will explore new ingredients, learn anecdotes, but especially share and discuss with locals that love to share with travelers.
Very welcoming and friendly, this experience also allows you to discover the essence of Jordan throughout my family, recipe, stories and the pleasure to share a meal.
In about 3 to 3.5 hours, you will explore Jordan food and culture throughout those steps:
-the guests will join us in my House to cook a meal together
-We will eat together sitting on the floor (traditional way).
-after the class we will share our cooking Book (PDF) via email with our guest which will help them to make our own dishes when they go to their home country .
Other things to note
This experience is mainly a cultural cooking experience. There is no stress to have about cooking skills, anyone is welcome. You will learn a lot about culture and be in touch with locals.

Fantastic experience - and great food!
My wife and I did both the walking tour of Aqaba and cooking class with Mohammed, and our experiences were absolutely fantastic. Mohammed is incredibly knowledgable, welcoming, and great fun. The cooking class with his wife was superb - and the food was delicious!

More than just a cooking class!
My friend and I were welcomed as friends into Mohammad’s home. It was so much more than a cooking class - we enjoyed asking questions about life in Aqaba and Jordanian culture. I’ve since made baba ganoush at home and it was delicious - so his wife’s teaching was a success! Mohammad went above and beyond to pick us up from our hotel and take us by a market on the way back to the hotel, as it was our last night in Aqaba and we wanted to do a little more souvenir shopping. Lovely Jordanian cooking course.
We spent a marvelous night with Mohammed and his family. We were very welcome and felt honored to share with his family. We not only learned to cook Jordanian delicious dishes, but also from his culture. We are very thankful for the wonderful night and encourage every person who is interested in Jordanian Culinary Recepies to join Mohammed`s family cook course!
