Commencing with a magical Sunset Cruise on our flagship Zambezi Explorer, meander through the watery wilderness, passing small river islands and lush vegetation with the spray of the Victoria Falls in the background. Once the sun has set and as the skies darken, you’ll head back to the Pure Africa Waterfront for a seamless continuation to your delicious al fresco dinner at The Eatery. One experience that allows you to spend the whole evening and into the night, with us. After all, why choose one when you can have both.

As you cruise on the upper Zambezi River, you will also see the mist rising up from the magical Victoria Falls. The Zambezi River is the fourth-longest river in Africa, the longest east-flowing river in Africa and the largest flowing into the Indian Ocean from Africa. The 2,574-kilometre-long river (1,599 mi) arises in Zambia and flows through eastern Angola, along the north-eastern border of Namibia and the northern border of Botswana, then along the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe to Mozambique, where it crosses the country to empty into the Indian Ocean. The Zambezi's most noted feature is Victoria Falls.

This park consists of 40km of the Zambezi River frontage and a spread of wildlife, rich inland mopane forest and savanna. Zambezi National Park is conjoined with Victoria Falls National Park and both parks cover an area of 56 000 hectares. A wide variety of larger mammals may be found within the park. If you are lucky you might come across animals such as hippos, elephant, crocodiles, kudus as you cruise on the Zambezi River.

The Eatery Dinner Experience entices guests to enjoy al fresco dining at The Eatery at the Pure Africa Waterfront, where a delicious three-course meal is served by lantern light and enjoyed under a star-studded African sky. The Eatery Dinner Experience focuses on a carefully curated selected of African infused dishes prepared with high quality ingredients and prepared to perfection, each accompanied by your drink of choice. Perched on the banks of the river, on arrival gather around the fire-pit before following the lanterns to your table for dinner – the roar of the distant Falls, the grunting hippos and call of the fiery-necked nightjar for company.

Beautiful River
The staff were great . The food was abundant and delicious, and the views were lovely. We saw elephants and hippos and crocodiles. The people who were sitting with fun to talk to. I cannot imagine a better experience. We sat on the very top level which gave us an amazing view and we also had the dinner.After all the food we had on the boat, going to dinner was a little bit too much because we were already full

Wonderful experience
A wonderful sunset river cruise with sightings of hippos, birds and other wildlife, followed by a 3 course dinner in their riverside restaurant. The boat was beautiful, and drinks and food very nice. Between canapés on the boat and the dinner there was a huge amount of food - too much for me but couldn’t fault the generosity of the company. Went with friends to mark the end of a holiday - perfect end to a great trip.

Best sunset boat ride on the river
Wow is all I can say. We paid for the signature deck and it was plush and special. Our table was already assigned so no fighting over seats. The seats we had were comfy couches. We had a designated waitress and she kept the drinks coming. There were 8 different food offerings that came one at a time as we cruised along.
