In this hands-on sushi fundamentals class, you’ll learn how to craft gluten-free, nut-free, and dairy-free sushi while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of your favorite local brewery. The class kicks off with a comforting bowl of Miso Soup, made with miso paste, dashi, and wakame seaweed, before you roll up your sleeves and dive into the art of sushi-making. A talented chef will guide you through creating two essential sushi styles: hand rolls (temaki) and inside-out rolls (uramaki). You’ll start by rolling a savory Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll, followed by a vegetarian-friendly Sweet Potato Hand Roll, and finish by mastering the bold and flavorful Spicy Tuna Roll.
