Experience first-hand all that makes tea ceremonies a representative of Japan’s hospitality culture, right in the heart of Tokyo!
The experience is located in Asakusa, also known as Tokyo’s traditional district. The tea house invites you into a different time entirely, with its tatami mat flooring and beautiful dishware.
At the tea house, you will be given a brief introduction to the art and history of the Japanese tea ceremony, and also to how matcha green tea is prepared. The tea ceremony demonstration comes with a beautiful wagashi, a traditional sweet that complements the tea. You will also be given the opportunity to prepare and serve your own matcha!
