Get on the field with estate workers, grab the necessary tools, and spend some time picking tea leaves. Glenloch Tea Factory
Around 27km north of Nuwara Eliya, tours of this factory are fairly informative, explaining cultivation, types of tea and the drying and packing processes. There's some fine old machinery from the UK still in use. Unlike in many tea factories, photography is allowed here.
Your Tour Guide will take you inside the estate and give you the experience on Tea plucking and then you will be taken inside the factory to see how Ceylon tea are prepared,
