Statue of Tordenskjold

Peter Wessel Tordenskiold was a famous Danish-Norwegian naval officer born in Trondheim in 1690. During Great Northern War, he became renowned for his courage, quick thinking, and daring attacks against the Swedish navy. His greatest victory came at the Battle of Dynekilen in 1716, where he destroyed vital Swedish supplies and helped stop King Charles XII's invasion of Norway. For his achievements, Peter Wessel was ennobled and given the name "Tordenskiold," meaning "Thunder Shield." Known for bold tactics and clever deception, he became one of Scandinavia's greatest naval heroes. His life ended tragically in 1720 when he was killed in a duel at the age of just 30. Today, Tordenskiold remains a symbol of courage, leadership, and maritime history in Norway and Denmark. We visit the establishment with the same name.

Posthallen Drinkhub (Pass By)

The former Oslo Post Terminal once handled millions of letters and parcels for all of Norway. As traditional mail declined, the building became obsolete. Instead of demolishing it, Oslo transformed it into Oslo Horisont, a modern hub with offices, restaurants, hotels, and public spaces—giving new life to a landmark of the city's industrial past.
