What You’ll Experience

Most travelers visit Korea's palaces and museums — but leave without understanding what they saw. This 90-minute experience changes that. Before you explore Seoul, join us at Wayujae in Samcheong-dong, steps from Gyeongbokgung Palace. We give you the cultural lens that makes everything click — so when you walk through a palace later, you'll know why the pillars are painted in five colors and why a moon jar is the height of Korean beauty. Designed by JJ, who spent 10 years in the travel industry, every story is told from a traveler's perspective. Discover the colors behind hanbok, the dancheong on hanok pillars, how King Sejong designed Hangul in 1443, and why hanji paper lasts a thousand years. Learn to read the hidden wishes in folk paintings, and explore Korea's celadon, lacquerware, and Yugi brassware. Then enjoy a tea ceremony on a traditional Korean stool. Taste around 10 Korean snacks — kimbugak, rice cakes, honey, Yakgwa, and gangjeong — paired with one of 6 handcrafted seasonal teas you choose. Everything is explained. An intimate small-group experience, maximum 6 guests, steps from Gyeongbokgung Palace.
