Good to Know

The House ZEYSSOLFF is one of the few authentic cellars in Alsace, dating from 1870, with about twenty hundred-year-old oak casks each having a capacity of 10,000 L still used for the winemaking of its wines. His great curiosity is the ZEYSSOLFF barrel, made in 1897 for the Paris Universal Exhibition (1900). This barrel is still used today. Immersive experience with projections on the oak barrels - UNIQUE in France. Maison works in organic farming. Children are welcome during the visit, it is suitable for everyone. Warm and friendly welcome in the heart of the Alsace Wine Route. Experience rewarded by the highest distinctions of French wine tourism: Alsace Tourism Trophy 2021 and Atout France Wine Tourism Trophy 2022. Be careful about the language in which you book your visit. Some slots are in French and others in English. Check that you have booked in the correct language.

Zeyssolff Wine tasting

Discover Maison Zeyssolff, a family estate founded in 1850 in Gertwiller, at the heart of the Alsace Wine Route. This experience plunges you into the world of Alsace wines through a commented tasting of our cuvées, from organic farming, followed by a video explaining winemaking, accessible to adults and children. Continue the visit in our historic cellar, where you will discover centenary oak barrels still used - rare to date , as well as an exceptional barrel of arms presented at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 in Paris. The highlight of the visit is our immersive 180°film, projected directly onto the barrels thanks to mapping technology, a unique experience in France. This film is not a remake of what can be found to date where we tell the work of the vineyard... But a film about our rather rich history, and about our work philosophy. The tour ends with a tasting accompanied by a share of kougelhopf. An authentic, friendly experience awarded by the 2021 Alsace Tourism Trophy and the 2022 Atout France National Wine Tourism Trophy.

A Magical Place

We travelled from Strasboug to Gertwiller by train to visit ZEYSSOLFF (tickets were approx. 18E return). The venue is a lovely 10 minutes stroll from the station and picked up easily on Google Maps. We arrived an hour before our tour but were made to feel very welcome and were offered a drink which we were then not charged for as we booked a tour. Highly recommend this unique experience!

We’ve been to many wine tours and this one was the most unique! Friendly guide and owner with amazing history. Lighthearted and informative. Most importantly all the wines were exceptional. Highly recommend!

Very well.

We found a very welcoming place and especially a guy who acted as a very good guide, prepared and nice. The wines are very good especially the riesling. Try the wines made in amphora, they really deserve.

Family Vineyard

Not just sampling the wine but learning about the process in a fun and interesting way. It is out of the way but that is part of the fun, we caught the train from Strasbourg and arrived early for lunch. A very authentic experience, thank you.
