Samarkand's winemaking history dates back to the early 19th century when a Russian pioneer winemaker launched his first wine production in the region. You'll get a taste of Uzbek wines and cognacs on a 1-hour tasting tour at Khovrenko Winery with a local guide. Take a break from Samarkand's World Heritage–listed monuments and learn about its winemaking traditions.

Unmissable experience

An activity that if it comes is expensive for Uzbekistan prices, we found very useful to know very difficult to access wines outside Uzbekistan. Who guided the tasting, gave us very good information and we tasted 10 drinks between wines and spirits. The museum is very nice and is a differential activity. Highly recommended.

Lovely tasting, informative.

I am so impressed they held my tour, as I was the only person that signed up, due to holiday schedule. It was my only opportunity to taste the local wines and drink, hearing more about the flavors and tastes. The cheese, nuts and crackers were helpful between the tastings. I really enjoyed this opportunity. Thank you.
