Great service for foreigners

Amazing experience with a personal touch from the chef. Very fresh food and a great presentation of every course. This is exactly what we imagined an omakase would be. Highly recommend

1. make sure you use google maps to get here. look at the street view and there’s no way you can get lost. 2. GET THE PREMIUM OMAKASE. don’t ask questions, just do it. 3. sit at the counter. the chef definitely puts on a show. he’s a comedian and very nice. 4. i ate things i would never order. i loved things i usually don’t care for. 5. everything was made with precision and care. 6. service was a+ would not miss an opportunity to visit if i’m ever in japan again. thank you!

Great food. Great experience.

The experience was great. The restaurant is cozy and the counter has traditional horigotatsu seating. The chef is very friendly and converses with you through the courses. The ensemble of flavors through out is great. You start off with a medley appetizers. Then you move on to various sashimi dishes. The main event was perfectly prepared wagyu with salt, soy sauce koji, and wasabi on the side if you want the added seasoning. The fina course an amazing rich dish and hot tea. All in all a great experience, definitely worth the visit if you’re in the Tennoji area of Osaka.

Had a great time dining at Wagyu Matsumiya. The chef tries his best with a translator to strike up conversation and the dishes overall were all well thought out and well designed too. Enjoyed it much and would definitely come again.

This dinner was phenomenal!! A very intimate dinner setting with a broad course selection. The chef is very talented, & despite not speaking much English we communicated very easily with google translate. Once he found out we are on our honeymoon he generously showed us how to celebrate the Japanese way (with Saké, of course). This dinner was easily the highlight of our honeymoon!

Multi-skewer course meal was wonderful. Each stick was so precisely prepared and cooked - nothing over-fussed. You enjoy the quality ingredients coated in a delicate, even batter. Delicious!

Exceptional food and service!!! Had this as our last meal in Osaka and it was amazing! The chef was so lovely and incredibly patient with our lack of ability to speak Japanese. If you’re looking for an intimate setting for good quality food and a good vibe highly recommend here. For the non Japanese speakers it is located upstairs.
