Description
A signature product from Tomiya Shoten, Inaniwa udon has a 400-year-long history, starting in feudal Japan when it was gifted to the feudal lord of Inaniwa, a high-quality wheat-growing area that is known as Yuzawa City today. Known as the most expensive udon in Japan, it has been delivered to the Imperial Household Agency since the Meiji period (1868-1912). Tomiya Shoten has been selling their udon noodles for several decades, beginning in the late Showa era. Tomiya Shoten’s half-cut Inaniwa udon noodles are firm, chewy, and smooth, renowned for their strong and elastic texture. This product is produced individually, one by one, to preserve its quality. An economical choice, the 500g package contains approximately 5 servings. It is also available in larger quantities, and with special box packaging, so please see our other products for more options. Shelf life: up to 730 days (varies slightly depending on shipping timing)
