Good to Know

The Balinese Cooking Class Ubud that we offer are completely hands on and conducted in English, students will be provided their own cooking station and utensils to prepare and cook all of dishes by themselves. The class is limited to ensure individual attention for everyone. The teacher and his assistant with an extensive knowledge of Balinese ingredients and cooking methods will demonstrate how to cook all of dishes and let the students taste what they had prepared for lunch or dinner and also take away pack if you cannot finish it.

The first ranking in Ubud for cooking class. Morning class starts with a trip to a traditional local market. In Bali Markets open early, The food markets are a great way to introduce students to Bali culture and lifestyle. The Chef will explain about Balinese tastes and customs, local meat, fish, and produce, finding unique ingredients and, of course Balinese-style bargaining! Learn the secrets of buying fresh ingredients in a traditional, – what to select and what to reject. Touring a traditional outdoor market provides insight both into how Balinese people approach cooking and how many spend their day. These lessons are as important as those in the kitchen.

This Is My Kind of Paradise

I've loved cooking since I was a kid, so joining this cooking class in Indonesia felt like a dream come true. Getting to learn local recipes, work with new ingredients, and cook traditional dishes was such a special experience for me. Honestly, for someone who loves cooking as much as I do, this place felt like heaven!

A Taste of Indonesia I Can Take Home

Joining this cooking class was a great way to learn more about Indonesian cuisine. We got to meet a skilled chef who guided us through the cooking process and introduced us to so many spices I had never come across back home in Russia. It was interesting to learn how each ingredient contributes to the flavor of a dish. I came to learn how to cook local food, but I also left with a better understanding of the ingredients that make Indonesian cuisine so distinctive

The Sate Lilit Got Everyone’s Approval

The best part of this cooking class was doing everything together, from shopping for ingredients and cooking to sitting down and enjoying the food we made. We all got to taste each dish and share our opinions, which made the meal even more enjoyable. My personal favorite was the sate lilit, and luckily, I had plenty of people agreeing with my choice! It was fun seeing how everyone had their own favorites after going through the whole cooking process together.

A Little Taste of Local Life

My favorite part of the cooking class was actually the market tour. We got to walk around the local market, see the ingredients people use every day, and experience a little bit of the local routine. For a moment, it didn’t really feel like we were just tourists taking a cooking class. We got to see a more everyday side of Bali and felt a little more like locals ourselves.
