Food tours are concentrated in a single neighborhood where we walk between each stop. In total, we spend around 45 to 60 minutes on foot. The tour lasts roughly four hours and we’ll keep the food and beer coming to make certain you leave happy and stuffed. What’s included? injera baking challenge – Do you dare to bake injera perfectly? Addis Ababa food tour

Oli showed me some of the local spots in Addis Ababa and I was able to try my hand at making injera. While I don’t have a future as an injera baker I appreciate the authenticity of the experience. The food was very good at the stop for the coffee ceremony as was the experience to roast and grind your own coffee. All of these things are harder than it looks! Amazing Food and History Tour

What an amazing authentic experience. The guide was so knowledgeable and gave us not only a food tour but a history of Ethiopia as well. She answered all of our questions and we even got to try the raw meat. I would Reccomend this tour to anyone curious about Ethiopian cuisine and culture.

A Lovely Day In Addis Ababa

I arrived in Addis Ababa on April 17, 2026 and scheduled the Addis Ababa Food and Addis Ababa Nightlife tour the day following my arrival. Abi and Mahlet took me to sample the delicious bites Addis Ababa had to offer and patiently and thoroughly answered my questions regarding Ethiopian cuisine. Great intro to local food

We had a great tour with Mahlet and Abraham. We tried to make Injera - and discovered we were terrible at it! Eating the raw meat and watching it butchered was definitely a different culture. We enjoyed drinking Tella and watching it being made in the back room and the tasting of tequila. In addition to the food it was an insight in to the local culture with our chats with our driver and guide.
