The Barolo wine tour from Alba begins with a scenic drive on the most panoramic wine routes of Piedmont, winding through eleven municipalities where Nebbiolo grapes are entitled to become Barolo wine. Take in stunning views of the Langhe hills, in the Piedmont region of Italy: a vineyard-covered landscape dotted with medieval towers, castles and quaint hamlets. Continue to a boutique Barolo wine cellar where the owner or the wine maker takes you inside the aging room. Enjoy a premium tasting of 4-5 wines, comparing different types of Barolo wine and the evolution of Nebbiolo grapes cultivated on different hillsides. In the end, take a stroll in the town of Barolo or another one of the region, wandering around wine shops and soak up the slow-paced Italian lifestyle.

Delightful Italian tour

This was my second tour with MeetPiemonte, with a third scheduled. Tour managers are knowledgeable and always available to assist. The pace is terrific, allowing shopping/personal time mixed with activity time. The offer of extra experience is always included; we chose to climb the Leaning Tower of Piza. It was a memorable! Great Barolo & Barbaresco Wine Tour!

Giovanni was an amazing guide for this tour. He is very knowledgeable about wine-making, grape varieties, and this area in which he lives. We learned about the history of the Langhe, the soil types and we had 3 excellent tastings at small, very capable wineries. We highly recommend Giovanni and this tour!

Great service!

Incredible — we actually were running late and having trouble getting in touch with our guide, Marco. He took extra effort to find a way to reach out to us and was very kind and understanding. We actually missed the first part of the tour, but the second half was very informative with great wines to try!
