The mother gave the cooking workshop in Albanian with great passion, while her son translated everything for us. A real must-do if you’re in Berat. Definitely deserves a full 5 stars!
A very special experience We had a traditional Albanian cooking class at our guide’s family home, and that made it much more than just a cooking class. His whole family was involved and together we prepared several traditional dishes. I really enjoyed being welcomed into their home and having the chance to meet the family. Such a special experience in Berat! This is much more than a cooking class. You’re welcomed into a family home and really made to feel like a guest rather than a customer. We loved cooking traditional Albanian dishes together, but even more than that, we loved the time spent talking, laughing and sharing a meal with the family. We had an amazing experience with a private cooking class with Qato tours. We were two families who joined the Qato tour family for a night, cooking, sharing, laughing - we cooked 3 courses, homemade meatballs, stuffed eggplants and homemade byrek (traditionnal spinach pie).
