Visit Franschhoek Motor Museum where an immaculate display of vintage vehicles awaits. Thereafter you will visit the location where Nelson Mandela took his first steps outside of the prison as a free man. For a memorable winelands experience you will visit Fairview wine and cheese estate where you will sample a wide variety of wines which includes special pairings with cheese and chocolate. Every automotive work of art is kept in pristine condition. This museum is the country’s largest collection of classic and vintage vehicles that include bicycles, pedal cars, collectables, racecars, and exotic motor vehicles.

Groot Drakenstein Prison

The prison is famous for being the location where Nelson Mandela spent the last 14 months of his 27 years of political imprisonment fighting against apartheid. This is where Mandela took his first steps outside of the prison as a free man and the last stop of his iconic long walk to freedom. Travelers can take pictures with the lifetime statue of Nelson Mandela; the statue is a tribute to every person who made sacrifices in the fight for freedom.
