You will experience a Chinese Tea Ceremony and learn about Tea Art. We will explore how many of the fundamental movements and concepts run parallel with Chinese martial arts such as Tai Chi (Tai Ji Quan 太极拳). The Tea Ceremony can be an excellent opportunity to improve your personal well-being and bring about a calmness in your life. How can preparing tea help you bring a focus and help you slow down? The experience will demonstrate how to make tea in a way that helps get the best from the tea leaf, that brings relaxation and peace to you and those sharing tea with you. We will take you from preparing your tea wares and how to layout these out, through brewing and then serving tea. This will include the physical processes and well as the more esoteric aspects. We will discuss how your posture and balance is critical. How and why serve tea in a certain sequence. Along with consideration of how we interact and important etiquettes Tea is far more than a drink. It is a way to connect with others and with yourself. At the end of the experience you will understand more about the concepts of tea art and how & why we can make tea become part of healthy, well balanced lifestyle.
