We offer more than just chocolate, Firstly, the chocolate tour begins with the cultural and biological background of cacao in Costa Rica. It further introduces into the collecting, fermenting, grinding and finally the making of chocolate, the drink of the gods. Secondly, we talk about coffee and its importance for Costa Rica's economic and cultural development. We have a showroom with important coffee picking instruments and a better explanation of the process of coffee production. We want to show you how to make Café-Chorreado, the real Costa Rican practice of preparing coffee. Amongst other sampling methods. Finally, we want to look at one of the most important aspects of Costarican culture and tradition, the trapiche: A sugar cane mill. Here we grind sugar cane to extract the juice and make all kinds of local and delicious candy. This is for sure the sweetest tour in the area. We have recently added a MEDICINAL PLANTS GARDEN TO OUR.

We weren’t sure what to...

We weren’t sure what to expect, but this ended up being one of our favorite activities in Manuel Antonio. Juan was friendly, knowledgeable, and made learning about cacao and chocolate really interesting. It was great seeing the whole process from the cacao bean to the finished chocolate, and the tastings were definitely the best part! Chocolate Factory tour with Sergio

We took a chocolate factory , our guide was Sergio. It was so interesting learning the process of growing cacao and manufacturing chocolate from it. Sergio was very knowledgeable and also very warm and congenial. After learning the process, we sampled the chocolate along with native fruits and other spices and it was absolutely delicious. Family fun!

Very fun! Nice easy activity to do that kids will enjoy as well! Sergio was an awesome tour guide and super knowledgeable about all things chocolate and coffee!
