A fantastic programmed giving you the opportunity to learn to cook the wonderful, unique, varied and extremely healthy cuisine of Sri Lanka. Cooking with him will not only give you the knowledge to recreate the classic Sri Lankan dishes, but is also an experience of real, traditional Sri Lankan hospitality with all its warmth and fun. The class will take you through the spices used in Sri Lankan food and general preparation techniques. He will cook with you a delicious meal which you can then enjoy at leisure afterwards. You will take home a good appreciation of the basics of cooking Sri Lankan food as well as the ability to prepare a few dishes to an excellent standard. The class can be conducted in Bentota . If you are renting a villa it is possible to arrange your course there.

As I love to cook, my gorgeous daughter bought me a cooking experience with 'Culinary with Dammika' as a birthday present during our stay at Bentota. In short, the experience was absolutely brilliant. A tuk-tuk came and picked us up before heading to the market to buy some ingredients of our choice. A must do when in Bentota!!! You will not regret it.

Chef Kumudu is a gentle, kind woman who listen carefully to suit your needs. I came with my son who has Down syndrome and he loves cooking. She took us in a private class though she had other group in quee. Chef Kumudu attentively teach him everything from scratch, grating coconut with her special machine and even show him how to eat with hands Sri Lankan ways!!! We really appreciate everything there. Best cooking lesson

Beautiful place, really in depth lesson with the most amazing tasting food. The family was lovely and welcoming, really nice few hours :)
