Igreja De Sao Goncalo
Highlight of the beautiful Amarante town, in the greenish north of Portugal, the São Gonçalo Convent was founded by king D. João III in 1540.
The Convent, built in the same place where previously was a small medieval chapel dedicated to São Gonçalo, integrates the beautiful São Gonçalo Church, under Dominican project and style. With a Mannerist style, the Church has a Latin cross plan and a grandiose façade with three floors, one of them baroque and the other two in renaissance style.
The interior has three naves, where is located the important São Gonçalo Chapel where the mortal remaining of the Saint now rest, under a limestone tomb statue.

Pinhao Railway Station
The Pinhão Railway Station, on the Douro line, was built in the 19th century and is a must visit for anyone visiting the Douro region.
In 1937 the station received the panels of tiles that gave it notoriety and turned it into the most beautiful Railway Station of the Douro.
These, in a total of about 3047 tiles, were produced in Aleluia Cerâmicas (Fábrica Aleluia) by J. Oliveira, an artist who also decorated other Portuguese stations.

One of the best Private Tours we have taken!
My daughter and I were lucky to have Nuno Ferreira as our private tour guide on our Douro Valley wine tasting and boat tour. The tour was excellent and we enjoyed the personalized private tour experience with Nuno Ferreira from ANETOURS. Nuno was extremely knowledgeable about not only Portugal but about life in general. We had an incredible private tour to the Douro Valley with Marco and could not have asked for a better guide. Exceptional private wine tour and stunning river yacht cruise
We had 6 ladies in our private wine tour. Racquel did a wonderful job of explaining the wine making process at Sandeman winery, ending with a special port tasting. We were provided a magnificent lunch buffet with 3 wines looking out onto the Duoro Valley and surrounding wineries, absolutely beautiful. We completed our day with a cruise on the river. Liked all guides/drivers but didn’t like Lousa. It was too remote, rather see Sintra or must sees
I really enjoyed the Douro Valley wine tour. Beautiful vineyard, fun picnic lunch and gorgeous scenery. We really liked our driver Marco as well!!
