This cooking class takes you to an Ethiopian local home kitchen where you will learn how to make and then bake your own Ethiopian staple food called Injera (Enjera), which is a type of foam-textured pancake that comes in three different colors: white, brown, and red. You'll also learn how to make Ethiopian traditional coffee ceremony from the start to the end.


Step into the vibrant world of Ethiopian cuisine with a hands-on cooking class you’ll learn to prepare traditional dishes like Shiro and Injera, while engaging in rich conversations about Ethiopian culture and history. Drive to a small vegetables market to buy all the necessary food items for cooking Ethiopian dishes. Injera, Ethiopia’s National food called Injera (Enjera) a spongy flatbread staple in Ethiopian cuisine, is made by fermenting teff flour and water, then cooking it on a hot pan. The process involves creating a starter, mixing it with flour and water, allowing the mixture to ferment, and finally cooking thin pancakes. Ethiopian coffee ceremony is a deeply ingrained social ritual where coffee is prepared and served with specific protocols, symbolizing friendship, respect, and hospitality. It typically involves three rounds of coffee, each with unique symbolism, and is a significant part of daily life and special occasions in Ethiopia. Ethiopian lentil stew that is easy to make and has an incredible depth of flavour. If you’re a vegetarian and like to have meatless meals this is a great dish to have in your meal rotation.
