The Capuchinas Convent was the only convent that allowed low-income women to enter, since the other convents demanded a dowry, which meant goods or money that a woman's family contributed to the convent or religious order to which he was to belong According to experts , some of these cells were for the nuns with better economic possibilities. At the entrance of the Tower you can see side chambers that were used as bathtubs. They are narrow rooms with a window and two small tubs. Next to these cells there is a narrow space with a small hole where firewood was placed to heat the water. The building has a drainage system made up of individual channels installed under each cell and reaching the same storage tank. The specialist shares that due to its characteristics, this is considered one of the first apartment buildings in Latin America.
