During this 4 hours unique Chinese Pickles Cooking Workshop, you’ll be taken into an authentic local spice market to explore it with fun challenges to complete and learn different species of Sichuan spices and ingredients that will be used in the following cooking class. The class will be carried out in a traditional Sichuan style courtyard. You’ll be treated with Sichuan local tea as it’s local’s custom to treat friends and visitors. After that, you then will be guided to start the cooking process by a professional chef in a cozy kitchen. Finally, you can enjoy a meal cooked from the pickles along with some beers or beverages. For it’s really informative, interesting and fun, this class will be an unforgettable experience in your lifetime.

Immersive tour, great meal

It was great to have a conversation with Jerry as the guide as he led us around his local community. He was engaging, easy to understand, and was able to answer questions. We stopped in at local shops and the fresh food markets, before cooking (and eating) a local cuisine meal, made together with a chef in a clean kitchen with fresh ingredients. Well worth the morning out.

Wonderful! Successful experience worth it!

Great experience with Lance, he picked us up from our hotel then we went to visit the market where he took the time to explain each product and accompany us for our shopping. After a tea and snack break we started the pickle course which was very interesting and we could participate and see the preparation of lunch which was delicious! Pickle It!

My sis and I are big foodies and we always like to learn different ways of cooking/ food preparation. Our guide Lance first took us on a market tour and patiently answered all our questions. When I told him my brother had a knee injury, he also brought over a wheelchair which made it a lot more convenient.
