On this daily half day wine tour. you'll be treated to scenic drives through the picturesque Cape Winelands. Whether you're a seasoned wine lover, or just curious to explore South African Wine heritage, this is the perfect way to taste the Cape in just a few hours. Tours run daily, in the morning from 8am and drop off at 1pm, and the afternoon from 2pm to 7pm.

Fairview Wine and Cheese

After you have been picked up from your accommodation, we will drive North East out of Cape Town. Passing some of the most notorious townships in South Africa, we will discuss about the daily lives of the local people. These townships are also the birth place of our local artist. Then we will go to the town of Stellenbosch. Known to be the second oldest town in the country, with its oak trees on the side of the road. One of the streets, Church street, has some of the oldest Architecture in the Southern Hemisphere. Walking down these streets gives one a nostalgia feeling of what it was like walking around here in the early days. Then it will be Wine O Clock. First wine tasting will be at Marianne, where they pair the red wine with dried meat, It is Jerkey, but the South African term is 'Biltong'. Lastly, we will go to Fairview, where they pair the wine with cheese.

Stellenbosch

Known to be the second oldest town in the country, Stellenbosch is known for its picturesque vineyards, historic Cape Dutch architecture, and its prestigious Stellenbosch University, known for its academic and research excellence. The town has well preserved Cape Dutch architecture, characterized by white washed buildings with thatched roofs, ornate garbles, and distinctive architectural features. The town is also a vibrant cultural hub, with a thriving arts scene, numerous galleries, museums and cultural events. The streets are lined with oak trees, offering a glimpse into the colonial past. One street in the town, Church Street, has some of the Oldest Architecture in the Southern Hemisphere.

Great afternoon trip to the wine region

Our guide Cotlint was amazing - knowledgeable, friendly, and very engaging! We really enjoyed the wine tastings paired with cheeses at Fairview. The staff were attentive and made an effort to engage with us as customers, sharing lots of interesting information. At Marianne, the wine tastings were paired with biltong, and the beautiful terrace made the experience even more enjoyable. Afternoon wine tasting at two vineyards

Perfect afternoon option if you do not have time for a full day tour. Our guide/driver Cotlint, was very friendly and knowledgable. The two venues were fantastic as was the wine, cheese & biltong!

Half Day Wine Tasting in Stellenboch

The wine tastingcexperience was great. We visit 2 place for wine tasting. The first was in Fairview that provide 6 types of wine with cheese and the second is in Mariane that gave us 5 types of wine with driend meat of beef, sprinbok and kudu. The experience was awesone and highly recomended. We bought a lot of wine.

South African wine tasting, made easy.

Throughly enjoyed the Uncork Cape wine tour in stellenbosch. The first winery was exceptional, we loved the ambient, the unique style of the tasting stations and above all, the wines! Especially the whites (and usually we're big red drinkers 😅). The second winery was relaxed, we sat outside, taking in the beautiful countryside of the wine lands. However, the wines were a bit disappointing and I'm not a fan of jerk. But that aside we still had a fantastic day. 🤗
