Good to Know
We meet at a popular local eatery in Rose Street, one of Bo-Kaap's borders. This is where we begin our journey down some of Bo-Kaap's oldest roads to explore this 370-year-old neighbourhood in a fun but informative way. We stop off at a local food host to sample some yummy traditional snacks and bakes with Tea, after that, we stroll down Chiappinni St to end back at the Bo-Kaap Deli. Other things to note

After meandering through Bo-Kaap's cobbled roads and side-streets we stop for a relaxing tea break in the Garden of one's Bo-Kaap's resident food hosts. We will sample 3 favourite Cape Malay snacks with Rooibos whilst socialising. Our activity ends with a stroll back to the meeting point.

Open in Google MapsI will meet you in front of the Bo-Kaap Deli on 114 Church Street, Bo-Kaap. It's a blue café on the corner of Rose and Church Streets. Parking is very limited in Bo-Kaap, so it's best to take an Uber or park on Riebeeck Square and walk up one road to the meeting point.

Bo Kaap with a local

Personal and moving tribute to Bokaap
Fantastic experience nobody should miss about a sadly dissipating neighbourhood that should have UNESCO world heritage status before it is too late. My guide Zaki was incredibly knowledgeable and I really appreciated all his time and trouble with me since other members of the booked tour had cancelled.

Wonderful history, amazing food!
We learned so much about the community, from its beginnings to today! The buildings were beautiful and it was so nice to experience one of the oldest areas in the city. The snacks were divine!
