+8 photosPerfect afternoon in Margaux. This is such a lovely area and one that is better with a guide vs DIY. We visited 2 lovely chateaus and stopped for pictures at Chateau Margaux and Chateau Palmer. The small group was ideal and allowed for a personalized experience.
It was very interesting learning about their climate and the differences in soils depending on where the grapes are growing. Both wineries had very knowledgeable tasting room hosts. Very passionate about the wines.
Had a fantastic day, everything was well organized and our guide Margaux was knowledgeable, nice and spoke excellent English, she kept us all in good spirits even when the traffic caused problems. Also got restaurant tips that we used and went to your lovely fish place. Thanks Margaux
Excellent tour, guide is nice and knowledgeable. Conversation is good throughout the trip, good wine, nice chateau, beautiful scenery. I would recommend for any who wants to visit the chateaus without having to drive yourself.
We visited 2 wine houses in the Margaux region, very good English tour guides and nice wine tastings. Our guide from Olala Bordeaux was Margot - with a t ; she was very enthusiastic and very knowledgeable on wine and the different appellations.
Dear Peter, what a delightful to read that in only one hald day you were won over by our guide and their expertise, as well as the château guides' English with its French accents. We hope to see you again for the Right Bank (Saint-Émilion); don't hesitate to ask for Margot (with a 't') ;-)
